I will never NOT rave about selling printables online! They’re incredibly easy to make, sell for good money and once you’ve made and listed them, they can quickly turn into pure passive income!
And I know, because I’ve done it – last summer alone I made $11,525 from printables whilst travelling around Southern Italy.
In this post, we’ll dive deep into the top 21 types of printables that sell like crazy online, how much you can expect to make on average and the printable ideas that typically become bestsellers in just 2-3 months (based on Etsy, Google Shopping and Pinterest Trends Data).
Printables That Sell Like Crazy Online

1) Digital Planners and Organizers
Planners and organizers are an incredibly lucrative source of income, especially if you can tap into a niche such as home organization or productivity!
One Etsy shop owner made just over $141,000 selling digital planners alone last year!
Surprisingly, it doesn’t actually take a ton of units to get there either; most quality digital planners and organizers retail anywhere between $25-$60, so you’d only need to sell between 2350 and 4700 planners a year to turn that kind of profit.
And whilst that sounds like a lot, that’s only between 6-12 planners a day, which is incredibly do-able!
Just one of my own planners sold 30 units a day when it hit the bestseller list on Etsy!
That’s also not factoring in any other sales on any other listings you make that day either – compound growth is incredible!
Most Profitable Types:
- Daily, weekly, monthly planners
- Meal planners
- Chore/activity planners
- Fitness trackers
- Budget/financial planners
2) Art Prints
You’d be surprised how well art prints sell online, but it’s easy to see why! As the world turns to AI, more and more people are seeking authenticity in their prints.
They want art created by a real artist, something handmade and crafted with care.
Art prints are often the best way for people to collect something they love without shelling out a pretty penny for the originals.
One of my closest friends (Art by Kitty Strand) makes close to $40,000 a year on the side selling her whimsical themed art prints on Etsy and Shopify.
Most Profitable Types:
- Inspirational quotes
- Typography prints
- Minimalist art
- Watercolor
- Paintings
- Oil paintings

3) Business Tools & Trackers
Are you a whizz at Excel? Know your way around Notion? Love creating detailed budget tracking sheets or simple graphic design?
Small businesses everywhere are crying out for help when it comes to keeping their client, payment and tax systems organized.
And because most businesses are too busy working ‘in’ their business, they don’t have time to create the business tools and trackers they need to stay organized.
That’s where you come in. Huge bonus here – anything that helps people make more money or not lose money comes at a premium cost!
The average business tools and trackers retail for around $30-$100+ PER unit. If you can nail your market, this is an easy and lucrative 6 figure business.
Most Profitable Types:
- Budget/financial planners
- Tax trackers
- Business cards
- Branding kits

4) Adult Coloring Books
Adult coloring books have seen a whopping 230% increase in global sales over the past 5 years!
It’s easy to see why; not only can you print exactly what you want to color, so less clutter in the home, but you can also snag designs that don’t appear on the mass coloring book market.
More and more adults are turning to their favorite creators to get their creative, wind-down kick!
And if there’s anything you should know, these sets can quickly become bestsellers.
So whilst they might not retail for a ton of money per unit (the average is around $5-$10), hitting bestseller status means the money quickly adds up.
Just 30 units a day would equal a healthy, passive $9000 a month!

5) Digital Art Supplies
This one is a little more niche, but if you’re an artist or creative yourself you can quickly outdo the competition.
Everything from Procreate brushes, Photoshop templates, Illustrator patterns to photography presets, these all sell extremely well and because of the nature of the work involved, typically come with a higher price tag.
Most people simply don’t have the knowledge or the time to learn how to create these themselves.
Anything from $15-$70+ is completely normal in this field.
6) Wedding Stationery
With more and more couples looking to save money on their already mega expensive wedding day, wedding stationery has very quickly become a top selling printable niche!
In fact, some of the bestselling products on Etsy and Shopify are personalized wedding banners, signs and other items such as name tags.
And whilst people are looking to save money, they still know they’ll need to pay a handsome price for the service.
Wedding items can easily command between $50-$250+ each, depending on the item.

Want to be a little less hands-on? That’s totally an option too.
With CORJL or Templett, customers can put the names of their own guests etc on their own templates so you don’t need to be on hand all the time.
I did this with my first Etsy shop and only once or twice a month did I need to intervene and help the customer, that’s just how user-friendly these design platforms are!
Most Profitable Types:
- Wedding Booklets
- Wedding Invitations
- Personalized Styles
7) Resume Templates
According to Stand Out CV, 80% of resumes are rejected in less than 11 seconds.
Why? Because most of them are poorly formatted, include way too much information or have a mass of typos and spelling mistakes; all of which shows poor technical skills and a lack of attention to detail.
This is why potential job seekers will spend a good amount of money for a template that not only helps them land an interview, but makes them stand-out from the crowd of other applicants too.
Resume templates typically sell for $30-$90+, depending on the field/career path you’ve designed for.
Want to make money? Create resumes around job titles that naturally command a higher salary.
8) Party Decorations
No brainer! Party decorations are always a top-seller, and because of all the different type of celebrations out there, you’re not likely to constantly be up against a ton of competition.
Everything from Banners, cupcake toppers, favor tags to photo booth props, all sell extremely well year round. $5-$30 (for bigger kits) is the average price range.
9) Baby Shower Games & Decorations
Baby shower parties are becoming bigger, better and wilder by the year.
You’ve only got to scroll through Instagram to see just how much some Mother’s to be are spending on their baby shower celebrations; the average by the way comes to an eye-watering $1500.
Why not snag a piece of that pie and create funny printable games and cute decorations?
Personalized decorations are the first to sell out, closely followed by printable baby shower games.
Games typically come in a pack and sell for anywhere between $5-$25.
10) Financial Trackers & Budgeting Kits
Most of the digital software to track expenses online is ironically rather expensive, we’re talking between $15-$36 a MONTH!
The average consumer just isn’t likely to be able to afford that, hence the tracking of the expenses in the first place.
If you can create a simple, yet functional budget tracker or budgeting kit, you’re well on your way to creating a 5 figure monthly passive income.
The Silicon Valley Girl on Youtube made $61,000 in 2023 selling one financial planner and tracker alone!
If you can help people save money whilst tracking their expenses, you’re onto a winner!

11) Digital Scrapbooking Kits
This is a newer idea for sure, but with the rise of scrapbooking and vision boarding, more and more people are turning to the therapeutic effects of creating something with their hands.
Digital scrapbooking kits or vision board kits retail for a healthy $10-$35 a set, depending on style, making it a pretty lucrative market.
12) Educational Worksheets & Kits
One of my favorites! I used to teach primary school children and was forever creating my own educational worksheets and kits for them to use.
Turns out other teachers and homeschool parents loved them too!
These sets did take me a while to create but when they hit best-seller status for their category I’d easily make $50-$100 a day completely passively, and that was only with 50 listings too.
Only downside to this niche is that there were a ton of copycats that eventually took my ideas, almost page by page.
It’s also heavily saturated, and to stand out, I’d highly recommend building a brand elsewhere on social too.
If you can build a regular fanbase, it won’t matter if people steal your ideas, your customers will keep coming back to you.

13) Art Therapy Worksheets
I also set-up a store in this niche and boy was it uber profitable!
Pretty much every listing I created sold-out within a few days, yielding a healthy $50 a day profit in the first few weeks.
Most of these designs are simple, so you won’t necessarily be able to sell high price items like the ideas I’ve mentioned above, but smaller sales quickly add up when you’ve got a lot of sales pouring in.
Selling your sheets for anywhere between $1-$8 is normal in this niche.
14) Travel Planners and Journals
Digital travel planners are a life-saver for the last-minute packers or even the perfectionist weeks-in-advance planners!
And ever since some of the world’s top Instagram travel creators shared them on their socials, they’re lucrative too.
Travel planners retail for anywhere between $8-$40+ a unit. From what I’ve seen, most have hit best-seller status within the first 3-6 months of being listed.

15) Holiday & Seasonal Decor
Have an eye for cute designs? Have a specific niche or color scheme in mind?
Create some cute holiday seasonal games, home or even outdoor decor for a quick and easy flow of cash.
Most designs retail between $5-$35, depending on style or size.
Better yet, play with the year’s seasonal trends, and create a kit that pairs well with specific celebrations.
16) Recipe Cards
This one kind of surprised me but some creators are making nearly a 6 figure salary with recipe cards alone!
Cooking with Suzie sells recipe cards online, including in her own shop, on Etsy as well as on her socials, and made $89,000 last year alone!
Turns out, people are looking for specifically styled blank recipe cards that fit the style and feel of their home and kitchen.
I saw a watercolor mushroom template on Etsy last week and it was a best-seller with the foraging community.
If you can tap into a lifestyle community, all the better! Right now, these recipe cards are selling for an incredible $10-$30 a set.
17) Self-Care & Wellness Printables
Self-care printables have seen a 171% increase in sales since 2021!
Everything from mood trackers, habit trackers, self-care checklists, gratitude journals to manifestation journals are selling like crazy right now.
And because these printables are designed with a specific purpose in mind, they’re commanding an equally high price; $15-$30 is completely normal in this range.
Even if you just sold 5 a day, you’d be raking in a completely passive $150 a day!
18) Kids’ Coloring Pages
This is probably no surprise, and similar to the adult’s coloring books, more and more parents are seeking to hold their child’s attention for longer.
This either comes in the form of coloring in designs they truly adore, or making the activity a bit more unusual.
Color by Numbers are becoming more and more popular, though it’s still a very much untapped niche for its potential!
Coloring pages typically sell for $1-$5, depending on the size and quality of the set.
19) Printable Games & Puzzles
Everything from cut-out brain anatomy parts to velco jigsaw pieces to escape room printable kits, printable games and puzzles are forever topping the best-seller category!
Bonus, these kits don’t typically come cheap either, ranging from a healthy $10-$60+, depending on the complexity of the puzzle at hand.
The more creative you can be here, the better.
20) Language Learning Resources
Have a knack for learning languages? Can you help someone else pick-up key vocabulary?
Try designing colorful, creative yet clear language learning resources.
Because language learning is a premium skill these resources often command a more premium price too; anything between $5-$25 is completely normal.
21) Motivational Quote Prints
An oldie, but goodie!
A friend of mine started a motivational quotes print business back in 2022, now she’s turning over $75,000 a year almost completely passively whilst she still keeps the benefits of her day job.
It does require a little patience and you definitely need to nail your niche and style on this one to stand out, but it’s totally doable.
Most quote prints sell between the $5-$35 mark.
